Loans will be renewed automatically, although you can also renew them via 'My Account', at the service desks, or using the self-service machines.

Items, IT equipment, hourly loans and group study rooms cannot be renewed, so you will need to return them when the loan period ends.

Your books will be renewed automatically, provided that:

• You have no overdue items pending return or fines.
• The item has not been reserved by another user.
• You have not reached the maximum renewal limit. This information can be viewed in My Account at the end of the details for each loan:

Please return the books when you no longer need them.

PLEASE NOTE: once the renewal limit has been reached, the user may request to borrow the returned item again, provided that the loan period has not expired and the item has not been reserved by another user. This can be requested at any counter in any US library by presenting the physical book. The final return must be made at the same counter where the book was first borrowed or at the counter of the library that owns the copy.
